Dialogue on Diversity Celebrates Women’s History Month

Dialogue on Diversity, an organization focused on the social and political advancement of women and men from diverse cultural, ethnic and national traditions, will host “Women: The Community – XXI Century Struggles for Equity” a Public Policy Forum in celebration of Women’s History Month.

Presented by the American Federation of Teachers and Collaborating Organizations, “Women: The Community – XXI Century Struggles for Equity” will celebrate the yearly achievement of women as well as focus on the obstacles and tasks that will confront women in the world in 2014. Women’s History Month is the time of year appointed for reflection and a renewal of resolve.

One of the highlights of the night will be the presentation of the Trailblazer Award to Dewey Square Group Principal and Latinovations Founder Maria Cardona. Maria has dedicated and committed much of her time to the progress of women’s rights and will receive this much deserved honor. Dialogue on Diversity President & CEO Maria Cristina Caballero, will be kicking the night off  by giving welcoming remarks and introducing the night’s honored guests.

Other segments of the event are titled “Snapshots from the Worlds of Policy and Economics,” “Conditions of Women Globally,” “Women’s History,” and “Recognition of the Best in Women’s Achievement.” The forum will be held today March 19th from 4:00-6:30 p.m. at the American Federation of Teachers headquarters where a “Celebration of Roses” reception will be held afterwards.
