Congressman Luis Gutierrez (D) is one of seven Illinois Representatives that are pushing for immigration reform legislation to be passed this fall. Senate Judiciary Committee Endorses Sotomayor
Today, the Senate Judiciary Committee voted 13 to 6 to endorse the nomination of Sonia Sotomayor to the Supreme Court. Every Democratic member of the committee voted in favor of the nominee. Lindsey Graham (SC) was the sole Republican who voted for Sotomayor.
